In this lecture, we move from the Prologue into the unfolding action of the Gospel. St. John is not presenting disconnected episodes; he is narrating a deliberate and systematic confrontation.
The Word has become flesh — the new Tabernacle of God among men. From that moment forward, everything changes.
We examine:
  • The shift of divine presence from stone to sacred flesh
  • The first three days of witness and identity
  • The calling of Nathanael and the opening of heaven
  • The Wedding Feast of Cana and the transformation of ritual purification
  • The cleansing of the Temple and the prophetic announcement of its replacement
What emerges is not reform but fulfillment. Not suggestion but authority.
The arrival of Christ renders every provisional structure temporary. The Temple, the jars, the systems of mediation — all find their completion in Him.
This lecture challenges us to take seriously what St. John is showing: the King has come, and His presence demands a response.
